His trajectory in the creative field continued to ascend as he ventured into the film industry, serving as an art director and 3D animator at Chalaru Visual Studio. It was during this time that Akila hosted his first solo Fine Art exhibition, showcasing his evolving artistic narrative.
Relocating to Singapore marked yet another significant chapter for Akila. Pursuing formal education, he earned a Diploma with Distinction in Graphic Design from the esteemed Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This experience enriched his skill set and broadened his exposure to diverse artistic practices within prestigious institutions. Upon returning to Sri Lanka, Akila collaborated with Geckomedia and other Singaporean firms, further refining his expertise.
In 2017, Akila embraced entrepreneurship by founding LIONART PRODUCTIONS, a full-fledged advertising agency. This venture reflects his comprehensive experience across various creative domains, combining fine arts with contemporary design solutions.
